New York University has established itself as a Global Network University, a multi-site, organically connected network encompassing key global cities and idea capitals. The network has three foundational degree-granting campuses: New York, Abu Dhabi, and Shanghai, complemented by a network of over 15 research and study away sites across five continents. Faculty and students will circulate within the network in pursuit of common research interests and cross-cultural, interdisciplinary endeavors, both local and global.
Entering its fifth year, NYU Abu Dhabi has recruited a cohort of faculty who are at once distinguished in their research and teaching. Our students are drawn from around the world and surpass all traditional recruitment benchmarks, both US and global. NYU Abu Dhabi’s highly selective liberal arts enterprise is complemented by an institute for advanced research, sponsoring cutting-edge projects across the Arts, Humanities, Social Sciences, Sciences, and Engineering.

The Advanced Microfluidics and Microdevices Laboratory (AMMLab) in the Division of Engineering at New York University Abu Dhabi (NYUAD) is seeking for talented, self-motivated individuals to work in the group and perform world-class research.

Ph.D students: PhD students get admitted through the Doctorate program of NYU Polytechnic School of Engineering, with full scholarship and a competitive stipend. Students are expected to spend at least a year in NYU at Brooklyn, New York before they relocate to NYU Abu Dhabi for 3 years of research. The PhD diploma will be awarded from NYU.

AMMLab is inviting applications for fully-funded PhD scholarships. Applicants must submit a full admission application to NYU directly, and send the following to mohammad.qasaimeh@nyu.edu: – cover letter, – curriculum vitae with full publication list, – a statement of research interests, – and a list of three referees

Visiting researchers with their own fund/scholarships are welcome to discuss any potential collaborations and work in our lab. Please contact mohammad.qasaimeh@nyu.edu directly to discuss potential collaboration and if any partial financial support is available.

Undergraduate student from NYU, NYUAD, other NYU campuses, or from local universities in Abu Dhabi or the UAE are welcome to discuss any potential work in our lab for their capstone projects or during the summer time.

Volunteers from regional high schools, colleges, and universities are welcome to visit us and join us as full/part time volunteers at any time.
