Assessments were chosen based on G-Code Category of mobility: waking and Moving around by AOTA (The American Occupational Therapy Association, Inc.)
This table would be helpful for future clinicians to differentiate and analyze which assessment would be suited for clients with stroke.
This chart was created based on the AOTA selected assessment tools for Occupational Therapy, evidence-based research literature for stroke survivors, and my personal experience as an Occupational Therapist with stroke survivors in the rehabilitation setting. My plan was to find easy, free assessments to administer with stroke survivors. This chart will be helpful to look at a quick glance at the description of the assessments, able to compare each assessment and provide helpful information for future and current Occupational Therapists. I chose to create this chart as an artifact because I want to advance my knowledge in types of assessment to provide more professional and evidence-based intervention to clients in the rehabilitation setting. In addition, this ties into my Systematic review where the types of assessment bring into the types of intervention that I wanted to research. This was a part of the research stage where finding the needs and topic for my Systematic review. In the future, my plan is to distribute this chart to the facility where Occupational Therapists are able to administer it to the stroke survivors.
