We are glad to announce that Professor Hui Dong from Graduate School of China Academy of Engineering Physics visits NYU Shanghai on Dec. 13, 2019, and will give a seminar on “Two dimensional spectroscopy and its applications” at NYU-ECNU Center for Computational Chemistry.
Abstract:
Two-dimensional spectroscopy is an incisive tool to probe the dynamics directly and has been used in chemical reaction, energy transfer in biological complexes and electron transfer in physical materials. In this talk, I will explain how the two-dimensional spectroscopy works, and present its applications in natural light-harvesting system and strong-field ionization process.
Biography:
Dr. Hui Dong received his bachelor degree from University of Science and Technology of China in 2006, and Ph. D. degree from Institute of Theoretical Physics of Chinese Academy of Sciences in 2011. After the postdoc in UC Berkeley (2011-2015) and Texas A&M (2015-2017), he joined Graduate School of China Academy of Engineering Physics (Beijing). His research focuses on advanced spectroscopy with quantum light and quantum thermodynamics.
