A Welcome from the Wagner Planner Co-Editors
Dear Readers,
This year, we are ushering in a new era into the Wagner Planner. With urban planning becoming increasingly more interdisciplinary, we wanted to make sure that the stories we tell about our cities followed suit. We are looking for more disciplines to contribute to the urban planner meaning if your background is in sociology, technology, or even english, we want to hear how your work influences and directly affects the cities that we live and work in. Read further to get to know a bit about us, the new co-editors of the Wagner Planner, and come join us this year as we dive into the complex landscape of cities through various topics each month!

I’m extremely excited about this next year of the Wagner Planner! I joined the Wagner Planner in order to help curate a space where a more diverse audience of students will have a platform to share how they interact, explore, and challenge the way our cities operate and function. Personally, my passions lie in equitable development, climate change mitigation, and social policy. I believe these topics are all enhanced when they are community-informed, specifically when they are informed by the people most vulnerable to impacts of climate change and oppressive capitalist systems. Therefore, our vision for the 2024-2025 school year is to make sure we are intentionally making all of our issues for and written by a diverse set of students.
I look forward to collaborating with our new writers, contributors from Wagner and beyond, and my fellow co-editor Ally La Pinta in order to tell the story of cities!

I’m excited to welcome our new leadership and staff to The Wagner Planner this year! As a former staff writer with a passion for public realm, urban health, and economic development planning, I look forward to collaborating with our amazing contributors and seeing what great pieces we create this year.
Our vision for 2025 is to open up The Planner to a broader range of voices and perspectives across the dynamic field of city planning and urban development. All students across degree programs and concentrations are welcome. Be creative, be bold, been investigative —The Planner is an open door!
