This article introduces African oral literature. It mainly requires the storyteller to participate both physically and verbally. With that requirement, the audience in the distance might not have the opportunity to listen to the storytelling. However, listeners might find less engagement with a pre-recorded video storytelling than actively participating in a storytelling session. Having those two requirements in mind, I think we could incorporate storytelling with online platforms to allow engagement. For example, storytellers could sketch out images representing their contents and present those images in the story sequence. First, after the audience login to the website, he/she will be given a short description of the storytelling process. After the process gets started, the audience will see an image that the storyteller sketched previously for this story. Also, the audience will see a pre-recorded video of the storytelling illustrating the story. After the audience finishes watching the short clip, a short question will pop, and the audience will be given two choices. Based on the selection, the audience will then be directed to an assigned scene. Thus, only the first scene will be the same for everyone. Other scenes will be solely depended on the audience’s choice.
