This week for surface modeling I decided to do the Yakult bottle. It was pretty straightforward, I just did a loft and revolve for the cap of the bottle.
First, I added a reference image to the canvas. I then created the base sketch, which was just a circle. I added a bunch of offset planes to create more sketches and circles for where the bottle dips and changes shape. After I had all the sketches for the loft, I created another sketch for the guide rails.
I patched the bottom and revered normal. Then I stitched it together.
For the cap I drew a sketch and revolved it.
And then I changed up the appearance and added a decal of the logo to the bottle in the render (as seen in the very first image of this post). I kind of feel like this could have been done in solid modeling as well, but here is one model using surface.
