Investigation

The Serena Williams Project examines two moments from the match when Williams interacted first with the chair umpire Carlos Ramos and then with two other officials for the match, Brian Earley and Donna Kelso. In the first interaction Williams contests the point penalty, a result of the coaching violation and racket abuse, and in the second interaction she contests the game penalty for verbal abuse.
