If Just the Rights of People Were Considered is an interview-based verbatim reading of excerpts pulled from the Portraits US: Polarization project and coded for topics pertaining to the 14th Amendment. The 14th Amendment states, “No state shall make or enforce any law which shall abridge the privileges or immunities of citizens of the United States.”

If Just the Rights of People Were Considered was performed on 21 September 2022 as part of NYU’s celebration of Constitution Day. The event was sponsored by NYU John Brademas Center, Birnbaum Women’s Leadership Network at NYU Law, NYU Votes, and NYU-TV.
