Song Title: Ocean Eyes
Artist Name: Billie Eilish
The rhythm of the music suggests that it is a sad music and with the artists’ voice added, it makes the mellow of the music sad and slow. I interpreted this song as feeling sad and depressed. In my sound visualization poster, I represented the drum sound as a tear shaped object. The thicker line of wind is interpreted to be an eye that is crying because the music made me feel sad.
In the draft of this poster, the eyes part looked more similar to an eye. I made changes to the eyes as I wanted people to have different interpretations of the eyes instead of just looking and seeing it as an eye. Also, in the draft I didn’t include anything on the top of the poster. In the final version, I added clouds and winds to balance out the blank space.
If I had more time I would add more words on the bottom part of the poster to make it all come together. With some words added in the ‘ocean’ part it would make the poster look more put together whereas now, the top and bottom part looks a it could be two different posters.
