An acrylic modeling paste impression of my shower tiles that was later scratched with fingernails, topped with reflective gel medium and hair, painted with acrylics, and rubbed with a cloth.

This is a single- steady shot of a black woman’s labor of moisturizing and rope twisting her natural hair.
