This year’s theme highlights the divergence of artwork that has occurred before and during Covid. It dives into how this particular moment of the ongoing pandemic has affected our lives, which in turn affected our inspirations and motivations in making art. The selection of works display a wide breadth of mediums ranging in drawings, paintings, soft sculptures, videos, and many more. The featured artists express their thoughts and offer their moments of experience through their creation of works with the materials they had readily available.
Each work responds to the theme in forms that are pertinent to each individual artist. As Covid has affected everyone in different ways, we take solace in reflecting from the message each artist spotlights. Sharing their unique stories and inspirations during this time allows them to contribute back to the community. They take pride in their work as the ability to create at this stressful time takes courage and resilience. We hope that this show will inspire others, as we are patiently waiting to make artwork After Covid.
