This week, I spent most of my time prepping for one of WHEDco’s annual community events: Bronx Summer Fest, a block party and street festival that takes place outside of one of their affordable housing sites (and my office) in Crotona Park East. Here’s what my day looked like:
My desk at WHEDco, prepped with all things necessary for an all-day event: water, keys, sunglasses, and run of show.

Set up begins with a balloon arch over the entrance to the Bronx Music Heritage Center, which is hosting a pop-up vendor market with local food and clothing stalls.
