This week, together with my partners Julia and Shirley, we created two stop motion loops.
Leaves
We used the leaves that Shirley collected to make a short loop of leaves turning brown as they float through the screen. We had leaves in similar shapes that were in different colors, so that we could swap leaves every other frame to create this smooth transition.
Charger sockets
We got the idea from Newton ball and thought it’d be cute to make it from charger sockets with some face expressions. Based on the 12 principles of animation, we also tried to implement a few rules in this stop motion. Such as ease in and ease out when they reach the highest points, or their eyes serving as the secondary actions.

We started from some sketches and story board, and the shooting was quick and smooth!
