STARS – Faculty Budgeting System
STARS is an online faculty budgeting and expense system designed to replace the legacy paper-reporting process. STARS provides a platform for faculty to login and view their personal expense accounts as well as previous YTD expense reports. Stern Budget Office can utilize the STARS Admin interface to manage faculty accounts and run aggregate reports. Department Chairs use STARS application to budget for their department’s faculty and administrative expenses. STARS has eliminated the need for manual data entry and human errors associated with it. It is also an eco-friendly application. Expense reports used to be printed on a monthly basis for each Stern faculty. STARS makes this info available online.
