Video Conferencing for Small Classrooms and Tight Budgets

NYU Institute of Fine Arts

Description

For this year’s Torch Tech Share Fair, the Institute of Fine Arts would like to present information regarding a small classroom video conferencing system that was installed in the Institute’s small seminar room in the Duke House. We were interested in creating a space that complied with NYU standards for video conferencing, but on a much smaller scale and budget. Institute IT staff worked in conjunction with several university departments and consultants to achieve a practical, low cost set up that was built in the Spring 2016 semester.

Unforgettable: Transforming Commencement into an Interactive Experience

Digital Communications

Description

It’s challenging to create a sense of community on a non-traditional campus. As a means to address this issue at NYU, the Digital Communications Group launched #CongratagradNYU in 2013 to build a stronger, more engaged digital and global community. #CongratagradNYU is an immersive and interactive commencement experience for all students, faculty, family, and friends, regardless of their location. Learn how we built a strategic content plan for social media around commencement, curated student content and integrated it into our content strategy, and leveraged third party platforms to build a successful campaign.

This poster was also presented at the 2016 HighEdWeb Conference in Memphis, Tennessee.
