Sofie Daley

STAGE & PRODUCTION MANAGEMENT

Sofie Daley is a rising senior at La Canada High School, in Los Angeles, CA. She has stage managed twelve productions in her time at LCHS, ranging from contemporary plays to the works of Shakespeare. Also, in her time at LCHS, Sofie Daley has won two awards in Outstanding Achievement in Technical Theatre. Sofie takes avid interest most everything about technical theatre however, her main focuses going forward in her career are stage and production management. Sofie has also contributed to several student films acting as a script supervisor and as a production manager, which is an avenue she is always willing to explore as a young creative.

In October of 2019, Sofie stage managed the production of Proof by David Auburn. As you can see, she has taken the liberty of writing her technical notes on a paper towel.

Aside from the countless hours in the theatre, in her free time, Sofie enjoys listening to music of all genres and studying films, ranging from Hitchcock to Miyazaki, all to no end. Before COVID-19 hit, Sofie would enjoy her free weekends from school exploring her home city, Los Angeles, and always looking for the latest and greatest thrift joints to get all the best deals at. Her active enthusiasm for art and fashion is truly integral to what makes Sofie who she is in, and out, of the theatre.

In this program, that she is so grateful and humble to attend, Sofie has learned a whole heck of a lot. Always naturally inquisitive, Sofie spent her four weeks in this program asking as many questions as possible and absorbing all that this program offered.
