The biggest issue I came across while using the faceAPI is that there’s no clean place to see what number is associated with each point. Guessing simply gets very old very quickly. The other thing is that I think my laptop might be too old, and the video took a year and a day every time to load.
The goal of my project was to take an image and change the tint with the position of the tip of the nose. I thought that, while above the halfway point of the video canvas, the image might be tinted a little bit a different color. I’m not sure what didn’t work. I spent a lot of time messing with the code trying to get it to work in the first place, and it turns out that I was missing a nestled if statement in the gotResults function. Ah well.
Finally, on VSCode, I thought that it was much easier to code within VSCode, although I don’t know GitHub enough to figure out how to share my code, so I’ll have to ask about that for the following weeks.
