production update:
I’ve said this in class, but this blog is the first time writing it in writing. I have FINALLY chosen a theme for my tattoo series, and that is to apply Legacy Russell’s manifesto, Glitch Feminism, onto my project.
I have changed the entire draft of my paper to be about Glitch Feminism, and the following sums up what my project is in a single sentence: a series of tattoos that explore tattoos as a form of glitch, as described in Legacy Russell’s Glitch Feminism, on physical skins.
I have began my process of tattooing fake skins and watching lots of tutorials online. some videos I’ve been watching are the following:
And the following are some concept sketches:

Then, the following are the tattoo practices that I’ve done (sorry about the tattoo residue, it’s harder than i thought to clean them off):
Because my designs are all straight lines, that’s all I’ve really been practicing in terms of a specific tattooing skill.
I do plan on practicing other forms of tattooing such as shading, curvy lines, etc., but my priority will be the line practices!
