Idea: Creating your own trippy video using controls on a playing board. Everyone’s video will be saved to a twitter account using a twitter bot.
Plan: Figure out which hardware and software tools I will need, and then look up schematics to find out how to build it.
Bill of Materials (BOM):
- Get a set of controls – knobs, pushbuttons, sliders
- Fabricate a wooden box- wood, screws, screwdriver, saw
- Wires and resistors
- js library
What can I connect together- which micro controller, which is library-p5, 3js?
Once find mediums, start coding and figure out which effects I want to change with controls
Code the changes using mouse pressed and sliders on screen
Then figure out which physical controls to use to replace the web controls
Hook up the MC with the corresponding js library in code
Wire the controls one by one to the breadboard and MC, testing each one as I go along
Build the wooden box and add the controls to it
Test and debug
Add twitter bot to project if there is enough time
Are the controls immediately understandable to someone who’s never used the thing before? Can she successfully operate the interface?
