The 8th annual BlackStar Film Festival is seeking submissions from black, brown and indigenous youth filmmakers (ages 22 and under) from around the world. Film submissions are FREE and films should not exceed 20 minutes. The BlackStar Film Festival is an annual celebration of the visual and storytelling traditions of the African diaspora and of global communities of color, showcasing films by black, brown and indigenous people from around the world. Selected youth filmmakers will have the opportunity to:
• Screen and talk about their work alongside peers in front of a public audience.
• Attend a youth-centered master class given by industry professionals, as well as, gain access to other festival screenings and events.
