PhD Receives AIIS Research Fellowship

PhD candidate Debashree Mukherjee has received the American Institute for Indian Studies (AIIS) research fellowship which will fund 11 months of research in India. AIIS funds Junior Fellowships for graduate students conducting research for their doctoral dissertations in India. Debashree will be officially affiliated with the National Film Archives of India (Pune) and is happy to field any research requests from colleagues while she is in India. We congratulate her on this great achievement!

Junior Research Fellowships are available to doctoral candidates at U.S. universities in all fields of study. These grants are specifically designed to enable doctoral candidates to pursue their dissertation research in India. Junior Research Fellows establish formal affiliation with Indian universities and Indian research supervisors. Awards are available for up to 11 months.
