Our creator and founding editor, Jeff Sharlet, is the recipient of this year’s Thomas Jefferson Award, presented by the Military Religious Freedom Foundation, for his Harper’s Magazine articles “Jesus Killed Mohammed” and “Jesus Plus Nothing: Undercover among America’s secret theocrats,” and his New York Times bestseller, The Family: The Secret Fundamentalism at the Heart of American Power. Sharlet Pride!

A giant congratulations to The Revealer‘s founding editor, Jeff Sharlet, recipient of the Molly National Journalism Prize, named for Molly Ivins and sponsored by The Texas Observer.  The award is for Jeff’s Harper’s article on how US evangelicals contributed to the “Kill the Gays” bill in Uganda.
