Mobilizing the Catholic Church in Mexico

In a country that’s 90% Catholic but has a tradition of rigid church-state separation, the legalization of abortion and gay marriage in Mexico City has mobilized the Church. Toss in three political parties, a conservative president and a quickly approaching 2012 election. PRI asks if social issues like abortion will trump the security and economic challenges Mexico faces.
