Dr. Michael Newdow has refiled his suit to remove “under God” from the Pledge of Allegiance and upped the ante, adding a second suit (with three other families) to try to prevent prayers at Bush’s inauguration. Newdow wrote that the 2001 inaugural prayers made him feel like “a second-class citizen,” and that he, “has a right to view his government in action without being forced to confront governmental endorsement of religious dogma with which he disagrees.”
