Lamarr Mooneyham as representation of the phenomenon of evangelical “philo-Semitism” — lately a very hot topic as liberal and moderate Jews begin to publically air their anxieties about the longer-term intentions — and biblical motivations — of Judaism’s new best friends, and question whether, as New Republic editor Leon Wieseltier says, such fixations are ultimately, “‘both Semitisms…forms of obsession about the Jews.'”
