Christians protested outside a county courthouse in Houston after a Bible was removed from a monument owned by the Star of Hope mission but located next to the court’s entrance. Demonstrators were upset that the mission removed the Bible so soon after a court ruled that the presence of the Bible indicated an unconstitutional preference for Christianity. “‘We had people prepared to circle around it,'” said the Rev.
