Attended CUNY’s 2024 Disability Culture Summit webinar. The panelists discussed a variety of topics and talked about their backgrounds. Some of the ones I found interesting were:
- Disabilities in sports, such as regarding the paralympics. As well as about not reducing people (such as paralympians or other athletes) to mostly their disabilities.
- Community engagement and expression. How allies can contribute to better visibility and accessibility locally.
- Some of the specific questions, such as people asking about the effect of COVID and long COVID on disability awareness.
