This Holocaust project began with the work of many doctoral students and Drs. Suzuki and Mattis. The Director of Education, Ms. Elizabeth Edelstein from the Museum of Jewish Heritage: A Living Memorial to the Holocaust was instrumental in inviting members of the Speaker’s Bureau to participate in this project. She also provided critical consultation along with Ms. Bonnie Gurewitsch, an Archivist and Curator at the Museum. Nearly 40 survivors participated in interviews.
Emotional intelligence (EI) has implications for ones’ personality, quality of life, leadership skills, employment, and social relationships. Limited research has been conducted on EI across diverse cultural groups. This project began with a meta-analysis of peer-reviewed journal articles, and has grown to an exploratory study involving demographic and individual-level differences in emotional intelligence.
