This week I began testing some of my ideas about my characters.
My idea is to create a bunch of characters that each have different body shapes, styles, and design details but obviously belong to the same family. I was thinking of some alien creatures that each has a different role in the family/pack.
Here is what I came up with.
They are simply cut-up PVC pipes that I sanded and drilled holes in to mimic eyes. Maybe the large one has a lot of eyes so it can see around and alert the pack, maybe the one with the cardboard hat is the old and the wise and the leader of the pack. Maybe the tall guy is keeping a pet or carrying a child on its side. I like how they are stronger together and provide space for imagination.
