This week I decided to make Stormbreaker from Marvel Comics.

First I prepared the materials and the sketch. This project will consist of 4 pieces: the ax, the hammer head, the connection in the middle, and the handle.
I first cut the shape of the ax out on the bandsaw, then “sharpened” the edge with the router, and then sanded them round.
I then preped the center piece by drilling a hole in the middle for the handle and turned it and the hammer part on the lathe.
In order to fit the ax inside the center piece, I drilled a slot in the middle of it on the drill press, and then chiseled the slot as well as sanded the ax so they fit together.
These are the finished pieces.
