About this Story:
This story is about a beautiful peacock, who reminds us to be helpful and thankful. This is a warm story that a colorful peacock’s feather was burnt when it tried to protect other animals and how these animals helped it become colorful again. It shows kids that we should help each other out when needed and appreciate it when we are helped.

Interpretive Task: 1, Brainstorming: students will be asked about what kind of animal lives in the forest and describe them; 2, Students will hear different sounds of different animals and guess what kind of animal they are; 3, Students will work in pairs or groups to label pictures on the picture teacher gives; 4, Students will work in groups or pairs to come up with ideas of paralleling story, express their ideas and write them down; 5, Each student will draw a picture from the teacher’s bag, all of which are related to the peacock story; 6, Students will show their understanding by holding correct pictures as teacher reads along the story; 7, Students will complete a picture of peacock according to the story as the teacher reads along.
Interpersonal Task: 1, Students will ask and answer different questions related to the story with their question guide; 2, Each student will get a handout of peacock without color and have four movable feathers with the same color, then they talk with classmates and share their duplicated feature with each other. Students who get a peacock with four different colorS feathers win.
Presentational Task: 1, Students retell the story and act it out; 2, Students will use the same pattern and keep writing what will happen in the story; 3, Students will be divided into groups and each group will be given a scenario. Students will act it out.
