About this Story:
This story is about a wolf stole the farmer’s sheep reminds us to learn from mistakes. The wolf stole the farmer’s sheep through a hole in the fence. But after the farmer fixed the fence, the wolf could not steal any more sheep. Originating around 400 B.C, this story teaches us that even though we have made mistakes and suffered from losses, we can still fix them by learning from our mistakes.

Culture:
In China, shepherds feed goats and sell them to make a living. The wolf represents negative characteristics, like greedy, cruel, ferocious, while goats usually indicate positive traits, like cute, warm-hearted, kind and easygoing. To reinforce directions, Chinese usually use ribbons.

Interpretive Task: Students will read a short story aligned with an illustration. The story contains the required vocabulary and grammar in this unit. Based on their understanding and language knowledge, students will answer three questions that focus on the story content by choosing the correct answer or filling out blanks.
Interpersonal Task: Students are divided into pairs. Each student in the pair has a card with pictures on it, but their contents are different. They will discuss the cards in pairs using the keywords and structures given.
Presentational Task: Students will work in pair to make a poster based on the two pictures given in the interpersonal task. This poster will demonstrate how the problem is solved and a title will be required. Students are allowed to draw a picture as a title. Chinese characters are highly recommended.
