The final item in my Metamorphic transition series is Euphoric Serendipity. This painting represents the shift I experienced as a Latina student. My dreams were repeatedly told to me that they were unattainable. During these times, I closed my eyes and reminded myself that, while I may be feeling gray, my creative universe is full of color. Being a woman has so many societal barriers and psychologically my way of releasing tension and stress from within my life is through the form of art. Art therapy is a big part of my life and has helped me heal myself in ways I have never thought. This painting is my artist representation that through the darkness I can close my eyes and keep the color and dreams alive if you continue to believe in what’s true to you.
