Summary
This art is related to "Ego Integrity vs. Despair" from Erikson's theory of psychosocial development. "Ego integrity vs. despair" is the last stage in the eight stages of development. During this period, elder people reflect on their past life experiences. If the elder successfully resolves this stage results in a sense of fulfillment and wisdom, while failure might lead to regret in life. It seems like this madam is having complete peace by reading her book in the aesthetic garden, thus, I define her as someone who successfully resolves this developmental stage.
