What compelled you to submit to OPUS?

“I wanted to understand the process of having my work published and to be able to understand what it would mean to share information that could be influential.”

What was the editing experience like?

“It was stressful, frustrating, and rewarding.”

What was your paper about?

“Alternative Treatments for Treatment Resistant Depression – it looks at ways to treat this specific form of depression through methods beyond antidepressant medications.”

What did you gain from this experience?

I was able to practice how to best disseminate important information by making important research accessible.

What tips do you have for future writers?

“The writing process is never finished!!”

Would you recommend this experience to others and why?

“I would recommend this if the topic that the individual is writing about genuinely interests them. You really have to dig deep into the literature.”
