OPUS has an executive board that helps us with our day-to-day operations. Our first e-board spotlight features our talented layout & design team!
We currently have three directors: Chloe Carlson, Sydney Liang, and Grace Park! Our directors are in charge of OPUS’ creative direction. This includes creating the issue that’s released every semester, maintaining the OPUS and OPUSzine website, and creating flyers and posters to advertise events and submission.
We asked our directors what compelled them to join OPUS.
First up is Chloe Carlson, our most recent member of the team!
Chloe “joined OPUS to get involved with the community here and further develop my skills as a designer while engaging with a subject I’m super interested in.”
Next up is Sydney – a sophomore in APUG with a minor in MCC!
She joined OPUS “because I wanted to be part of a club where I could continue practicing art and graphic design! What I enjoy most about my role now, however, is that I’m not only able to be creative but I am also able to learn more about how to write research papers and the process behind getting published.”
Last, but certainly not least is Grace – a sophomore in APUG with a minor in Nutrition and Studio Art!
Grace joined OPUS because she “always loved working on graphic design projects and I loved what the OPUS issue stood for; the idea that students have the opportunity to publish their research literature, and then our team does everything to make it look beautiful. Everyone’s hard work and creative ability gets to be presented and appreciated.”
