Join us on Tuesday, September 17th from 6 – 8 PM in Furman Hall 326 for TULOY ANG LABAN! People’s Lawyering in the Philippines! This event is co-sponsored by Sulo, NYSEAN, APALSA, EPIC, and LSJP.
This past summer, a group of NYU Law students went on a solidarity trip to the Philippines to learn about the role of lawyering in people’s movements. This event will be a share-back on the work of the National Union of People’s Lawyers and the situation facing law students, organizers, and attorneys in the Philippines. We will also discuss how law students can be in solidarity with people’s lawyers abroad, as well as work to combat imperialism in our position as law students in the United States.
Please RSVP here! We welcome audience questions in the RSVP form as well.
