Come join preservation consultant and historic preservation instructor Kelly Carroll in her new series of group oral histories, as she checks in on individuals and groups behind various community preservation efforts. Carroll will be moderating the discussion as the New York Preservation Archive Project explores the recent preservation history of certain communities in NYC.
Their most recent event is taking place on Wednesday, July 21 at 6:30 PM EST and will inspect the endeavors led by Elmhurst History and Cemeteries Preservation Society. This includes the victories and losses in the past – such as St. James Parish Hall and Horsebrook House – and ongoing efforts in the present – such as the Janta House and African Burial Ground. Click here to register! If you’re unable to attend this event, there will be more dates to follow, including on Tuesday, August 3 regarding the East 25th Street Historic District Initiative.
