In keeping with CALA’s Fall 2019 Call To Action theme of Environmental Justice, we thought you might be interested in this year’s Festival Albertine, which is centered around our current climate moment. This three-day festival is a call to all activists, artists, politicians, and more to collectively discuss the most effective social and political strategies for fighting the climate crisis. The program spans a wide range of topics, including “How to Get People to Care,” focusing on environmental advocacy and awareness, and “How Fast Do We Need to Move—And How Fast Can We Move?” which seeks to explore the viability of fossil fuel reduction. All events will be moderated by Bill McKibben, author and environmentalist dedicated to climate change.
The festival will be held from Friday, November 8th to Sunday, November 10th at Albertine Books (972 Fifth Avenue). The festival is free with RSVP.
