Get ready for the upcoming New England Translator’s Association (NETA) conference: DIVERSITY THROUGH LANGUAGE, held on Saturday, April 28, 2018, in collaboration with UMass Boston at the UMass Boston Campus Center, 3rd floor.The conference brings together academic scholars, researchers, and experts to give attendees the opportunity to learn and exchange ideas and to network with other members of the translation and interpretation field. The conference features four tracks:
- Translation,
- Interpreting,
- Auxiliary/support services/technology, and
- Academic section.
We are also pleased to write that Julie Tay, one of our accomplished M.S. in Professional Translation faculty members, will be holding a talk entitled “Considering Linguistic Racism and the Problematics of ‘Diversity’ for Translators and Interpreters of English” as part of the conference. The session will take place from 2:00-3:00pm, so don’t miss it!

The 2018 conference committee has decided to have a book table again this year where NETA’s published translators and authors can display their works.
