NYUSPS CALA writing instructor Nicole Kear published an essay about how her family ended up being the proud and loving owners of a pet hamster named Dolly—despite Nicole’s terror of hamsters. This semester Nicole is teaching Writing Your Memoir in NYU SPS’s Center for Applied Liberal Arts.
