On Tuesday, November 7th at 630pm the Museum of the City of New York will host a special lecture on the challenge that New York City faces in maintaining and updating Penn Station’s fragile 110-year old tunnels, along with other examples of existing “grey infrastructure.” At the same time, NYC’s future livability depends on creating sustainable “green” infrastructure. Historian Jill Jonnes will connect the past, present, and future growth of New York City’s infrastructure. She will be joined by architect and Columbia University professor Vishaan Chakrabarti, author of a new plan for Penn Station. More information here.
