The Nida School of Translation Studies, the San Pellegrino University Foundation, and the Center for Applied Liberal Arts (CALA) at NYU SPS present the 6th Annual Translation Studies Research Symposium on September 30th and the 1st NYU Translation Day Symposium on October 1st.
The Translation Studies Research Symposium (theme: Time and Transformation) will bring together scholars and practitioners to share and discuss their different perspectives on research in translation and the context and practice of translation in a globalized world.

Wai Chee Dimock , William Lampson Professor of English and American Studies at Yale University.
Brian James Baer, Professor of Russian and Translation Studies at Kent State University.
Interviewers/Responders:
Edwin Gentzler, Professor of Translation Studies and Director of the Comparative Literature Program at the University of Massachusetts Amherst.
Michelle Woods, Associate Professor of English at the State University of New York, New Paltz.
The NYU Translation Day Symposium (theme: Art, Access, and Advocacy) will celebrate International Translation Day by featuring the work of NYU faculty, alumni, and industry experts in a discourse about the theory and practice of translation and interpreting.
