Clinical Associate professors Dr. Jens Rudbeck and Dr. Sylvia Maier, published their article titled “Performing the Just Princess Warrior: Symbolism and Strategy in FEMEN’s Emancipatory Activism” in the Global Affairs Review, CGA’s student-run and peer-reviewed academic journal. 

On February 20, Clinical Associate Professor Dr. Sylvia Maier, gave a talk on “Women in Extremist Movements: Causes and Consequences of a Global Phenomenon” as part of the Conflict, Security and Development Series at NYU Wagner Graduate School of Public Service.
On February 13, Dr. Maier also moderated and participated in a panel conversation on “The Trump Administration: A One Year Assessment” with Professors Hewitt, Kissane, Marber, and Oppenheimer at the Center for Global Affairs.
Additionally, in January 2017, Dr. Maier led a 10-day Global Field Intensive to the United Arab Emirates themed “Gender and Sustainable Development: Abu Dhabi, Dubai, and the Northern Emirates.” 

Adjunct Assistant Professor Joshua Krasna was published twice in February by the Foreign Policy Research Institute. Professor Krasna first published a major study of the Israeli national security establishment entitled, “A Guide for the Perplexed: The Israeli National Security Constellation and its Effects on Policymaking.” 
Additionally, Professor Krasna published an analysis of the political aspects of the investigations touching on Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu entitled, “Israel: In Suspense, or Perhaps Suspended Animation“.

On February 6, Clinical Associate Professor Jennifer Trahan spoke  at Florida International University School of Law, in Miami, Florida, as part of the FIU Law Faculty Workshop Series. Her talk was entitled “From Kampala to New York: The final negotiations to activate the jurisdiction of the International Criminal Court over the crime of aggression.”

On February 16, Professor Trahan spoke at the Peace Palace, in The Hague, Netherlands as part of a two-day conference, “The Rome Statute at 20: Commemoration of the 20th Anniversary of the Rome Statute,” sponsored by the Coalition for the International Criminal Court. She was on a panel on “The Future of the Rome Statute system, the International Criminal Court, and International Justice.” (video included).
