This is a unique chance to chat with IBM Vice President, Communications, IBM Software, Tim Breuer. Tim will respond to questions from participants about IBM’s leadership in using Artificial Intelligence to change the world and provide career tips for those interested in a career in Communications.
Tim Breuer is an IBM executive responsible for communicating how IBM AI innovations are changing the world. Tim leads a global team of IBM communications professionals whose mission is to help a variety of audiences – including the media, clients, business partners, analysts, and other influencers – understand and favorably report on how IBM’s AI technologies and expertise are transforming the way businesses and governments work; how IBM helps shapes AI policy, and why AI is a growth engine for the company.
Tim’s current mission also includes developing communications strategies to ensure IBM employees understand IBM’s AI strategy, their role, and the benefits it is providing to IBM clients.
In his current role, Tim serves as a strategic advisor to senior leadership, works on issues management, and is a mentor to communications professionals in the company.
Tim has served in a variety of roles in IBM, including leading communications for IBM’s sales, software and systems businesses, IBM’s cyber security business, as well as assignments in IBM Corporate Communications.
Tim has a BA in Communication Arts from Marist College. He and his wife Patti have three sons and live in Connecticut. Tim is a guitar player and music enthusiast, runner, and avid fan of the New York Jets.
