How does the hybrid cloud work and why is IBM so good at it?
Hybrid cloud is a $1 trillion market, twice the size of cosmetics. Hybrid cloud creates 2.5 times more value than public cloud. IBM’s hybrid cloud is compounded by IBM’s consulting expertise on Global Business Service, which grew 12% in Q2.
Want to change the world? IBM is one of the largest companies in the world, ranked 40th by Fortune. It employs over 345,000 people in over 175 countries. Revenue exceeds $73 Billion. In 2020, more than 30,000 people from 75 countries joined IBM.
Kaveri Camire is the vice president of communications for IBM’s hybrid cloud business, helping clients modernize and digitally transform.
During the session, Kaveri will respond to questions from participants about how IBM builds the case for IBM’s role in helping transform businesses.
Kaveri has 20+ years of experience in corporate communications and has held several executive leadership roles at IBM managing global communications across key stakeholders – media, analysts, clients, business partners, bloggers, employees, and other influencers.
She’s a strong corporate storyteller specializing in driving the company agenda at a global scale, enhancing and protecting its brand, and cultivating corporate culture through engaging employees, listening, and building belief.
One area of particular strength has been her success in leveraging communications to lead companies through major transformations — with a focus on disruptive technologies, such as Artificial Intelligence, cloud computing and the Internet of Things (IoT), 5G – and its impact on people’s daily lives while changing the game for businesses.
Kaveri serves as a strategic advisor to the business and her current mission includes developing communications strategies to ensure IBM’s key stakeholders understand IBM’s hybrid cloud strategy with clarity, positioning IBM as a leader in the space helping clients innovate globally. Kaveri has led a variety of roles in IBM, including leading communications for IBM’s Watson IoT business, software businesses as well as key corporate initiatives for the company.
She strongly believes that a company’s culture plays a key role in driving employee performance – a culture that is inclusive, with a strong blend of an entrepreneurial mindset and accountability.
Kaveri majored in history and holds a master’s degree in marketing and communications from Delhi University, India. She also attended Stanford Graduate School of Business Executive Education and was a member of the leadership program at Arthur Page Society – a professional association for corporate communications executives.
Kaveri enjoys riding her Peloton to get the day started and believes grit and focus are two key ingredients for success.
