Discussing complex issues in traditional ways might sometimes be ineffective. People are craving for creative solutions when it comes to tackling issues such as discrimination and inequality. Film, and specifically comedy, can be an educational tool to spread awareness among the next generation (and the older ones).
This webinar will provide tools to tackle these issues more effectively. Whether you are familiar with ‘catcalling’ or have no idea what it means, this webinar is for you.
Through the stories of parents, teachers, filmmakers, and corporate executives, you’ll interact with speakers and learn from one another.
Carolina de’ Castiglioni will screen her short movie, “Rispettabili Cittadine,” shot in Italy in 2021 (don’t worry, with subtitles!). Rispettabili Cittadine reached more than 270 K views on Instagram and was featured in ELLE Magazine, Mashable, and Corriere Della Sera. de’ Castiglioni is an award-winning actress and writer, who graduated with Honors from NYU Tisch School of the Arts. Her short movies have reached over 1.4 million views.
De’ Castiglioni will also introduce the last short movie she is working on, “Worthy Citizens.” This comedy follows the adventures of Vera, a brilliant 12-years-old girl who wakes up in an upside-down world where girls are taught to respond politely to catcalls. Worthy Citizens is expected to reach more than 100,000 students in over 100 schools, across 100+ countries. During the event, you’ll have a chance to contribute to the film.
Speakers at the event include Carolina de’ Castiglioni, Catcalls of NYC founder Sophie Sandberg, and senior executives.

Worthy Citizens is a short comedy written by Carolina de’ Castiglioni and produced by de’ Castiglioni and Catcalls of NYC, a non-profit that spreads awareness on street harassment. This movie shows how illogical it is to blame women for gender-based violence, instead of teaching everyone mutual respect.
Worthy Citizens aims to be an educational tool. Talking about complex issues in traditional ways might sometimes be ineffective. People today are craving for creative solutions when it comes to tackling issues such as discrimination and inequality. Film, and specifically comedy, has proven an engaging effective tool to educate the next generation on how to foster change and fight discrimination.
We believe that art has the power to show that a different world is possible.
