As part of NYU’s Applied Research Innovations in Science and Engineering (ARISE) program, New York City high school students Naomi Horsford and Ariadna Paltis joined the SONYC team for five weeks this summer. Hosted by SONYC team members Juan Pablo Bello, Mark Cartwright, and Charlie Mydlarz, Naomi and Ariadna contributed to the acoustic sensor and citizen science research agendas of SONYC. Naomi is a senior at Marymount School of New York, and Ariadna is a junior at The Brooklyn Latin School.
