March 5, 2019 – Dr. Silverman was awarded a National Science Foundation CAREER award for early career researchers, for her proposal on sunlight photolysis of antibiotic resistance genes.
February 19, 2019 – Dr. Silverman, Dr. Elizabeth Hénaff, and Tega Brain were awarded the second annual Marron Institute Seed Grant for their project investigating the impact of flooding on the urban microbiome.
