Before running an experiment at SHBEEL, researchers will need to…
1) Complete an online course through CITI (Social & Behavioral – Basic/Refresher Course). This course is a required component of all IRB applications and more information can be found here.
2) Submit an IRB application with your finalized study materials including a consent form, list of personnel, recruiting material etc. for the research you intend to conduct via SHBEEL.
For the IRB submission procedure, compliance guidance and detailed regulation, please check the “Human Subjects” webpage via the research portal at NYU Shanghai. A netID will be needed to log in and access the relevant document and information.
Before researchers may begin using the lab’s resources, experiments conducted in the lab must first receive IRB approval from the NYU Shanghai Institutional Review Board and researchers must submit proof of such approval to the Lab Manager at shbeel@nyu.edu.
After receiving IRB approval and sending the requested documents to the lab manager, we will contact applicants for a further discussion of the kind of support the lab could provide for their experiment.
All experiments conducted in the SHBEEL Lab, using SHBEEL laptops off-campus, or using subjects recruited through NYU Shanghai’s Behavior and Experimental Economics Laboratory MUST satisfy the lab’s general policies.
